Winner of the World Auto Design Contest 2009, the Italian competition Domus Academy which awards the most innovative in the automotive scene, the Audi Shark promises to be one of the most exciting cars of the future. The designer Karim Doku inspired by motorcycles and airplanes to create a 3D model of a futuristic car that has no wheels and is capable of flying.
Reinterpretation of the language, Audi born a vehicle that lives up to its name. Their sharp edges, its structure, the matte finish and very gray make it resemble a shark, and Audi Shark aspires to be so on the road.
In subsequent appendages that look like a tail and looks that complement the environment while ensuring speed and stability, has other interesting features. Recalling his inspirations, the door not only differs from a plane that wraps itself around the cockpit an d the two places where this unusual sports car put passengers in a very comfortable position.
It features underwater allied himself with a modern aesthetic where either the headlights or the rear, are composed of LED units mounted on plastic tubes. The end result is plain: a conceptual vehicle similar to a flying submarine.
In the vision of its creator would be a means of transporting high -power and advanced technology, able to overcome the limitations of ordinary cars, offering passengers "strong feelings and high security." This is a great example of futurism is not far from reality, which may one day reduce the risk of road accidents while providing a unique feeling of flying.Winner of the World Auto Design Contest 2009 the Italian competition Domus Academy which awards the most innovative in the automotive scene, the Audi Shark promises to be one of the most exciting cars of the future. Subaru Impreza WRX Pictures turbocharged

The Subaru Impreza WRX is a turbocharged version of the Subaru Impreza, an all-wheel drive, four-door passenger vehicle. It is available as a sedan or wagon. Originally introduced in 1992 in Japan, then shortly afterward in New Zealand, Australia and Europe, the WRX had a turbocharged flat-4 2.0L (then later a 2.5L), Subaru Boxer engine. Compared to the base Impreza, the WRX has a turbo-charged drivetrain, wider low-profile tires, larger brakes, and firmer, higher-quality suspension components. The Impreza WRX was first sold in North America in 2001 as a 2002 model year.

There have been seven noted versions of the WRX. The STI versions were marketed with consecutive numbers. Another way to determine the version of a WRX was to look at the chassis code. All WRX sold between 1992 and 2000 have the beginning chassis code of GC8 sedan or GF8 wagon; this is followed by a letter from A to G.

The Subaru Impreza STI, (formerly WRX STi, officially changed in 2006 to STI) is the highest standard-edition trim in the Subaru Impreza compact car line, produced by Japanese automaker Subaru.

In the late 1980s, Subaru created the Subaru Tecnica International (STI) division to coordinate development for the FIA World Rally Championship and other motorsports activities. After the company had grown, the division was used to create high-performance consumer versions of the Subaru Impreza WRX, an all-wheel drive car with a turbocharged boxer engine, leading to the development of the Impreza WRX STi. The Subaru World Rally Team has used a race-prepared version of the WRX STI as its rally platform since the model trim's creation.

Spada Codatronca Car Concept

Spada Codatronca was styled by the Italian design house Spadaconcept, a new design studio founded by Ercole Spada, and is built by another Italian company, UK Garage. With the Codatronca prototype, their goal is to revive the classic Italian sportscar concept, which mixes modern technology with tradition. Spada Codatronca concept is based off a Chevrolet Corvette chassis, with suspension-systems, engine and other mechanicals enhanced by the tuning shop, inspired by the 1965 Alfa Romeo TZ1. The Coda Tronca that means „truncated tail” in Italian, will be unveiled at the upcoming show in Monaco on April 24.

Spada Codatronca Spadaconcept focused more on aerodynamics, lightness and handling, but still this car has a great acceleration and speed. The base model, Codatronca TS, has a claimed top speed of 330 km/h and sprints from 0 to 100 km in 3.2 seconds. A lighter-weight (1380kg) and more powerful (700hp) TSV track version will also be offered, with a top speed of 355 km/h and a incredible 2.7 second 0-100 km time.

Spada fits twin Rotrex superchargers, dual intercoolers, an eight-quart dry-sump lubrication system, titanium valves and connecting rods, sequential fuel injection and a boosted compression ratio of 11:1. All that nets an impressive 600 hp at 6,300 rpm and 790 Nm of torque at 4,600. The power is channeled through the rear wheels via a short-throw 6-speed manual. The lightweight aluminum spaceframe, fitted with a magnesium roof and composite engine cradle, shaves weight down to 1400 kg. Steering is power-assisted and speed-sensitive with a magnetic variable-effort rack-and-pinion setup, while stopping power is provided by 14-inch front and 13.4-inch rear vented and cross-drilled discs with 6-piston front and 4-piston rear calipers with ABS, surrounded by monster 20-inch rims all around.

Spada Codatronca An unusual feature of the Spada Codatronca, apart from the amazing bodywork, is the digital readout positioned in the centre of the rear spine that displays the car’s current speed.

Buick Classic car High Performance

Buick Classic car High PerformanceGeneral Motors changed the car market in 1964 with the introduction of the GTO. By stuffing a large engine into a mid-sized car they created the muscle car. Sales exploded and the other GM divisions had to have a piece of the action. Chevrolet, Oldsmobile and Buick quickly produced high performance versions of their mid-sized cars also. The management at Plymouth was caught asleep when this happened and it took a couple of years to come up with a viable alternative. That alternative was the Plymouth GTX.

Buick Classic car High PerformanceIn 1967 Plymouth introduced one of the all time muscle car legends. The GTX only came with two engine choices. The more affordable of the two was the 440 cubic inch big block rated at 375 horse power. The other choice was the fearsome 426 cubic inch Hemi with a conservatively rating of 425 horse power. These cars were performers and either could do zero to sixty consistently in the six second range. That's not all, according to Motor Trend Magazine the GTX was on of the best handling cars of its size produced during that era. The GTX was a solid performer and sales were brisk with nearly 13,000 produced in 1967.

In 1968, the GTX was restyled along with the rest of Chrysler's intermediates. This design which was shared with the Dodge Charger, Super Bee and the newly introduced Plymouth Road Runner was an instant classic and is the picture most people visualize when they think of classic cars of the 1960's. Engine choices remained the same and performance was exceptionally strong. Car Life Magazine called the GTX "The fastest and the most powerful standard car built in America. And the 440 is not far behind." Sales increased to over 18,000.

The guys over at AutoCar have caught the upcoming Lotus Esprit testing in cold-snowy weather of Sweden. After running some DVLA records and matching the license plate, AutoCar has learned that the prototype is powered by a 4.4 liter V8 engine. Lotus sources have previously said that BMW may be the supplier for Lotus’ 2011 Esprit. It’s possible that the new Lotus Esprit will carry the 4.4 liter twin-turbo V8 engine from the new BMW X6, but will most likely be tuned to develop 500 horsepower.Currently the 4.4 liter twin-turbo from V8 produces 400 horsepower. The engine is also expected to be used in other BMW models including the X5 and the 7-Series. Lotus engineers will most probably re-work the engine management to reach numbers closer the Nissan GT-R and the Porsche 911 Turbo.
According to Lotus insiders, the next-gen Elise will arrive sometime in early 2011 followed by an all-new V8-powered Esprit in 2012.

The 2011 Elise will likely be built upon an evolved version of the current model’s extruded-aluminium underpinnings and continue the same formula that’s made the pint-sized sportscar a track day fave, but the Esprit will be a wholly different beast.
While the new Elise is all but locked in, the Esprit project is very much dependent on whether Lotus can sell enough Evoras to fund it. The timeline for the Esprit is also at the mercy of the global economic situation, with Lotus likely to delay the Esprit and forge ahead with a far less costly drop-top Evora if the recession persists much longer.
If it launches on time, the Esprit could be Lotus’ best hope of gaining a much larger share of the sports car market.
There are speculations stating that the 500bhp V10 powerplant can be the source of power for the Lotus Esprit, which will be released in 2012.

The engine is currently being used in the Lexus LF-A, a car that has not yet been launched itself. Being connected with the Japanese carmaker Toyota, Lotus has access to its entire range of parts and components, as well as powerplants from the Lexus line. This points to the likelihood of an Esprit flagship, costing more than ?100,000, equipped with the compact 8500rpm V10 unit (to rival the Lamborghini Gallardo), including a less expensive variant equipped with the 5-liter, 417bhp V8 from the Lexus IS-F and an entry-level model coming with a Lotus-tuned direct-injection Toyota V6 unit that can come up with 300bhp.
Although a V8 or a V10 unit would definitely boost the profile of Lotus, there is also a possibility of an Eco Esprit. Lotus is moving forwards with more efficient products with lightweight engineering and its keen interest in alternative fuels and hybrid solutions. This is also underline by its partnership with the electric car manufacturer Tesla.

The Esprit was inspired by the larger bonded and extruded aluminum chassis of the recently launched Evora, the rear section of which have been developed to accommodate both transversely and longitudinally fitted engines. Although the Lotus has shown that it can develop a new model in a short time (the Evora, for example, was developed in 27 months), the work on the Esprit will only reach its maximum when the Evora is being swept out of showrooms in the UK, Europe and US. It is the Malaysians who are funding the Evora project, with the persuasion of Lotus CEO Mike Kimberley.
